About this board game

Hansel & Gretel is a cooperative game for 2–4 players that takes about 20 minutes to play. Lost in the woods, Hansel and Gretel discover a tempting gingerbread house filled with sweets and candies—and possibly a witch.

Each turn, the active player places one of their tiles in the playing area. Work together to create and finish sweets, then use the visible dots on the tiles placed during the turn to determine how the three characters move along the path around the gingerbread house.

The race includes Hansel, Gretel, and the witch, and every placement can affect their positions. Plan carefully so the witch never reaches Hansel or Gretel, while also making sure that neither child catches up to the witch. If either situation occurs, the players lose.

• Cooperative play for 2–4 players

• Tile placement and shared movement decisions
• Five gingerbread tokens to collect for victory

To win, keep racing around the gingerbread house until you have collected all five gingerbread tokens. The challenge comes from balancing sweet-making with the movement triggered by your tile choices, while keeping the children safe from the witch and maintaining the right distance from her.

With its fairytale setting and focused cooperative puzzle, Hansel & Gretel asks players to think together every turn. Coordinate your placements, watch the visible dots, and help the children find their way home before the witch catches them.
