Happy Campers

About this board game

Happy Campers is a simultaneous roll-and-write game for 1–99 players that takes about 30 minutes. Roll the dice, determine the shape and type of area, and draw it onto your own campsite as you plan the perfect holiday setting.

Every campsite can include five different types of area, each bringing its own character to your design:

• Trees add nature to the campsite.
• Toilets give people somewhere to pee.
• Water creates a place for guests to cool down.
• Tents provide the essential camping accommodation.
• Entertainment keeps kids occupied and parents happy.

All players take their turns at the same time, keeping the game moving as everyone responds to the dice results and develops their own layout. You will need to consider where each area fits while working toward valuable connected groups.

There is also a special interruption when the dice show a double: every player lets their neighbour draw for them. This unexpected twist can interfere with carefully considered plans and gives the table a direct role in shaping each campsite.

At the end of Happy Campers, points are awarded for the biggest clusters of each area type and for the challenge cards. The player with the most points wins, so a successful campsite needs more than attractive planning—it needs smart choices across the different scoring opportunities.
