About this board game

Hat-Trick is a highly tactical football card game for two players, simulating a complete football match in around 40 minutes.

Each manager uses player cards to create a football pitch and move players across it. Two identical sets of action cards give both sides the tools to shape the match, including short passes, long balls, and dribblings.

Every action can influence how the ball and players develop on the pitch. The central challenge is deciding how to use your available cards while working toward the opponent’s final line. When the ball reaches that area, the game moves into a dedicated Scoring Opportunity phase.

This scoring phase is a mini-game within the match. Shooting and goalkeeping cards determine the contest at the decisive moment, giving attacking and defensive play their own distinct card-driven interaction.
