About this board game

Haunted Mouse is a ladder-climbing and shedding game for 2–5 players, with play lasting about 45 minutes. Set in the candlelit remains of a forgotten cathedral, it follows five little mice facing frightening nightmares while they compete for the kitchen’s cheese.

Each mouse must shed their fears, represented by cards, but they do not have to rely only on their own. In Haunted Mouse, players can use the fears of their opponents, creating opportunities to get rid of cards while making every move matter to the table.

The goal is to be the first mouse to wake up and grab the most cheese. The earlier you get rid of all your fears, the more cheese you receive, bringing you closer to completing your cheese wheel.

While the mice try to sleep, their imaginations fill the cathedral with visions of cat claws, snake fangs, and ominous owl eyes. Use the fears in play to your advantage, shed your own nightmares as efficiently as possible, and race the other mice toward a well-earned midnight feast.
