Heart of Crown: Path Before Heaven is a 2015 expansion for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 30 minutes. It requires either the base set or the Fairy Garden expansion to play.

The fifth expansion for Heart of Crown, Path Before Heaven may be integrated with the other Heart of Crown expansions. Its contents provide a new Princess, additional Support cards, and new types of Common Card for expanding the available options.

The English release includes:

• 1 new Princess
• 10 Support cards
• 10 new types of Common Card, with 5 cards of each type
• 10 randomizer cards
• 11 dividers

The Japanese release contains 72 cards and has a different component list. Alongside 1 new Princess and 2 new Support cards, it includes 10 new types of Common Card, 5 of each type plus randomizer cards, completely revised versions of 8 Support cards from the Six City Alliance expansion, and 1 placeholder card for the pile of Exiled cards.
