About this expansion

Heat: Heavy Rain is a board game expansion for 1-7 players that adds a seventh driver, two new maps, and fresh ways to manage heat during the race.

The expansion introduces one new driver with all essential player-specific components in orange, increasing the game’s capacity to seven racers. It also adds the Japan and Mexico maps, giving players two new racing environments to explore.

New upgrade cards introduce the purple drop, a different cooldown option. This effect allows a player to take a heat card from their discard pile and place it back into their engine, adding a new way to handle heat cards during play.

Both new maps feature submerged track sections. When downshifting gears in these sections, players must spend an extra heat, creating a specific rule to account for as racers move through the flooded parts of the track.
