Hellapagos

About this board game

Hellapagos is a 2017 co-opetition board game for 3–12 players that plays in about 20 minutes. Shipwrecked castaways must survive on a desert island, construct a large raft, and escape before a devastating hurricane arrives.

The island may initially look like paradise, but survival quickly becomes difficult. Water and food are scarce, and the group must confront the possibility that there will not be enough supplies for everyone to survive.

Players need to cooperate if they hope to build a raft in time, yet Hellapagos is also a game of negotiation and betrayal. Alliances can be useful, but backstabbing is part of the struggle, creating tension as the castaways decide how to share limited resources and pursue a way off the island.

Clouds on the horizon warn that time is running out. The group must keep working toward escape while hoping enough castaways remain alive to use the raft. The pressure rises as the hurricane draws closer and survival becomes less certain.

At the end of the game, the players who successfully leave the island in time win—assuming anyone survives that long. With its short playing time and support for up to twelve players, Hellapagos turns a desperate shipwreck scenario into a tense battle of cooperation, scarcity, and survival.
