About this board game

Here to Slay is a competitive fantasy strategy card game for 2–6 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. Assemble a party of Heroes, take on dangerous monsters, and sabotage your opponents as you pursue one of two paths to victory.

Each player chooses a party leader with a class and a special skill. Your leader remains with you throughout the game, so choose one that fits your play style. You can build your party from more than 40 unique Heroes, including fighters, bards, wizards, and thieves.

Every Hero has a class and an effect with a roll requirement. To activate an effect, roll two dice and meet or exceed the required result. Items, magic, and roll modifiers can help improve your chances, while clever timing may let you gain an advantage over your rivals.

• Slay monsters: Roll against a monster’s requirement, but beware of its fight-back range.
• Use challenges: Stop an opponent from playing a Hero, item, or magic card by starting a 1V1 dice challenge.
• Equip your Heroes: Use items and modifiers to strengthen your party and influence your rolls.

Challenge cards can send an opponent’s card directly to the discard pile if you win the resulting contest. But if your opponent wins, their card is still played, making every interruption a risky decision.

In Here to Slay, the first player to successfully slay three monsters or build a full party containing six classes wins. With dice-driven effects, changing party combinations, and opportunities to disrupt your friends, every game offers a lively race from recruitment to victory.
