The classical period is ending, the emperor’s power has waned, and a new power is rising. Competing factions enter an epic struggle for control of feudal Japan, using more than one path to advance their cause.
Players shape the conflict through alliances and court manipulation, while also confronting rivals through hand-to-hand combat. The game combines political maneuvering and direct confrontation within its historical setting, placing the contest for power at the center of play.
