Heroes of Normandie: Carentan

About this expansion

Heroes of Normandie: Carentan is a two-player scenario pack for the Heroes of Normandie base game, released in 2015. It adds new forces, terrain, vehicles, equipment, characters, and scenarios centered on the struggle for the town of Carentan.

Carentan stands in the path of the American army as it attempts to establish a defensive line against possible counterattacks. The Germans are entrenched in the town and defend it with tenacity, giving players the choice of commanding the Americans to make the fortress fall or honoring the nickname “Lions of Carentan”, earned by the Fallschirmjägers from their enemy.

The pack expands the available German forces with Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 6 – 2Btl, Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 6 – 3Btl, Grenadier Regiment 1058, and Feldkommando led by Von Der Heydte. It also includes two heroes: Emil Preischkat for Germany and Robert G. Cole for the United States.

At the heart of Heroes of Normandie: Carentan is a six-scenario campaign, giving the pack a connected set of engagements to play with its new content. The added terrain boards and building-destruction rules further expand the ways the Carentan scenarios can be represented.

Rules and scenarios are provided in both English and French. A copy of the Heroes of Normandie base game is required to use this scenario pack.
