About this expansion

Dominion: Alchemy is a 2010 expansion for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 30 minutes. It cannot be played by itself and is designed to be combined with Dominion or other Dominion expansions.

Strange things are happening in your basement laboratories. Your researchers keep requesting barrels of quicksilver and bits of your hair while pursuing the age-old dream of turning lead into gold—or at least transforming it into something more useful.

The laboratories are also searching for a universal solvent. If they succeed, you will need a container strong enough to hold it. Naturally, that container could become the foundation of an extraordinary castle: one that cannot be dissolved.

To play Dominion: Alchemy, you need a compatible source of the basic cards and rules. The expansion can be played with the standalone Dominion expansion Dominion: Intrigue or with Dominion Base Cards.

  • Designed for 2–4 players
  • Approximately 30 minutes per game
  • Requires Dominion, Dominion: Intrigue, or Dominion Base Cards to play
  • Can be combined with other Dominion expansions

The required standalone set or base cards provide the Treasure, Victory, and Curse cards, along with the full rules for setup and gameplay. With those essentials available, this alchemical addition can join your Dominion collection and bring its laboratories, quicksilver, lead, gold, and universal-solvent theme to the table.
