About this board game

Hitster is a music card game for 2–10 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Listen to more than 100 years of hits, arrange songs in chronological order, and be the first player to collect 10 music cards.

To begin, choose a music card and scan its QR code with the free Hitster app. The song plays automatically in Spotify, giving everyone a chance to listen, sing along, dance, and share memories before deciding where it belongs on their personal music timeline.

1. Scan a music card to play the song.
2. Guess when it was released and place it in the correct position in your timeline.
3. Reveal the card. If your placement is correct, keep it and continue building your timeline.

With more than 300 greatest hits, Hitster is designed to get a party started quickly. The rules are easy to learn, and you do not need to be a music expert: simply decide whether a song came before or after the cards already in your timeline. As your timeline grows, finding the right position becomes more challenging.

Players who know their music can increase their chances by naming the artist and song title. For a greater challenge, Pro and Expert rules test more detailed knowledge, including the exact release year, artist, and song title.

Hitster also offers flexible ways to play. Add the Hitster tokens for a more exciting experience, or enjoy a less competitive trip down memory lane by playing as one team or by yourself. Whether your group prefers guessing, singing, or showing off its music knowledge, the game turns familiar songs into a shared timeline of memories.
