About this board game

Hoard is a 45-minute treasure hunt for 2–6 players, combining hand management, set collection, memory, and press-your-luck decisions in a race to outscore rival adventurers.

A sleeping dragon lies at the center of the game, surrounded by 12 facedown cards. Players move around this changing ring to gather new cards, remove and replace them, and build valuable treasure sets while trying to remember where opportunities may appear.

• Roll and move: Roll the custom die to travel clockwise or counterclockwise and take a new card. A special symbol provides access to all but one of the cards.
• Secure treasure: Score a set of treasures or add cards to an existing set.
• Affect the dragon: Play cards that soothe or rouse the dragon as it wakes in stages, from its tail toward its head.
• Use swords and shields: Attack an opponent with a sword, or capture a used sword with a shield.

Every decision helps shape the risk. You can focus on gathering and securing points, interfere with your opponents, or influence the dragon while waiting for the right moment to end the hunt. The best time to stop may even involve waking the fearsome beast.

Hoard is designed to be played in rounds, with scoring tokens replacing pencil-and-paper scorekeeping. Its changing card layout, tactical attacks, and dragon-focused timing create a dynamic contest where memory and calculated risk matter throughout the hunt.
