About this board game
Hoppladi Hopplada! is a dice game for 2–7 players that plays in about 20 minutes, combining quick decisions with escalating risk.
On your turn, roll all seven custom dice. The dice show rabbits for points, sheds for multipliers, and carrots. You may keep dice that can be used for scoring, then continue rolling the remaining dice to pursue a higher total.
The central decision is knowing when to stop. If you stop at the right moment, you take the points you have built. However, if a roll produces no rabbits, you bust out and lose the opportunity to score that turn. Every additional roll can improve your result, but it also increases the danger.
- Roll seven custom dice featuring rabbits, sheds, and carrots.
- Keep scoring dice and continue with the rest.
- Use sheds as multipliers to make rabbit results more valuable.
- Stop to claim your points or risk rolling again and busting out.
There is an extra twist when a player uses all seven dice for scoring. That player may keep re-rolling the rabbits for even more points, extending a successful turn and creating the chance for a particularly rewarding result.
The next player does not always have to begin again with all seven dice. Instead, they may continue from where the previous player left off. This offers a higher possible reward, but it also comes with a greater risk of busting out.
In Hoppladi Hopplada!, every turn asks whether the current score is good enough or whether one more roll is worth the danger. The game ends when a player reaches the point limit.
