Hot Streak

About this board game

Hot Streak is a racing and betting board game for 2–8 players that plays in about 20 minutes. Bet on mascot racers, secretly influence the racing deck, and watch a chaotic race unfold card by card.

At the start of each race, the deck contains one card for each mascot along with random cards based on the player count. Players draft a betting ticket from those on display, then draft a second ticket in reverse order. Each bet can be played safely or flipped to its risky side, offering a larger potential payout—or a loss if the bet fails.

Before the race begins, everyone chooses one of three cards in hand and secretly adds it to the racing deck. After the deck is shuffled, three cards are burned, then the remaining cards are revealed one at a time. These cards move mascots along the track, sometimes sending them into another lane, knocking over another racer, turning them around, or making everyone move at once.

• Draft two betting tickets, including a second pick made in reverse order.
• Choose between safe and risky bets before the results are known.
• Secretly add cards that can shape the racing deck.
• Watch for racers moving forward, backward, sideways, or turning around.

A racer is disqualified if it runs off the track or would be knocked over while already fallen. If necessary, the racing deck is shuffled and three more cards are burned, keeping the race going until all four podium spots are filled.

Races two and three add another twist: each player receives a random card from the deck before betting and contributing a card. After the third race, players total their money. In Hot Streak, every wager and every revealed card can turn a promising run into a spectacular disaster.
