Illuminati (Second Edition) is a world-domination game for 2–6 players, with play lasting approximately 180 minutes. Each player takes the role of a secret society attempting to spread its tendrils into special-interest groups throughout the world.

The second edition brings the classic game into the twenty-first century with revamped content and mechanics. Its political and social conflicts have been updated, replacing the Cold War-era Government and Communist alignments with a new Media alignment for the information age.

Players guide their secret societies through a shifting landscape of competing interests. The updated cards reflect modern conflicts and feature cartoon-style artwork by Lars DeSouza, giving the game a distinctive visual identity while refreshing its presentation.
