About this expansion

Imperial Settlers: Atlanteans is a 2015 expansion for 1–5 players, with a play time of about 90 minutes. The expansion requires the Imperial Settlers base game and adds the option to play with up to five players.

At its heart, this expansion introduces the Atlanteans and their distinctive technology. Technology tokens can unlock special abilities on faction cards and transform common buildings into powerful allies, giving the Atlanteans new ways to use their faction abilities.

The Atlanteans face a striking challenge: their faction buildings sink at the end of the game and do not score points. As a result, they must find unique ways to score while making the most of their technology before the final round.

The other factions cannot use Atlantean technology directly because they lack the necessary knowledge. However, expansion buildings for each faction let them use some of that technology to their advantage, bringing the new resource into games beyond the Atlanteans themselves.

With new cards, a dedicated faction board, and technology-driven abilities, Imperial Settlers: Atlanteans adds a fresh layer to the original game. It expands the player count while creating a different approach to building power, using abilities, and finding ways to score.
