Infinity Defiance

About this board game

Infinity Defiance is a dungeon crawler for 1–4 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes, set in the Infinity Universe. In the year 2020 release, heroes of the Human Sphere embark aboard the Defiance to confront an imminent Combined Army offensive.

Commissioned by the human nations, this group of heroes faces a suicide mission with one objective: saving humanity. The game combines a science-fiction setting with high-quality metal miniatures that are compatible with Infinity, bringing its alien conflict to the tabletop.

At the beginning of each round, players build an Initiative deck. This deck determines the order in which enemy units activate. Each enemy unit then draws a card from the AI deck, and every enemy in that unit attempts to perform the listed actions in order, up to a maximum of two actions.

• Initiative deck: Establishes the enemy activation order each round.
• AI deck: Directs enemy units through their available actions.
• Dice symbols and Switches: Rolls produce symbols that equipment, software, specialties, and enemies can spend to apply effects.
• Specialty cards: Let characters improve their combat skills as the campaign advances.

Every roll can create new tactical possibilities through its symbols. Equipment cards, Software cards, Specialty cards, and enemies may spend those symbols to trigger effects via Switches, giving the game a focused system for turning results into useful abilities.

As the campaign progresses, characters can develop through Specialty cards. These cards let you choose the specialties best suited to your playing style or personal preferences, shaping how your heroes tackle the ongoing fight aboard the Defiance.
