About this board game
Iskra: Spark of Victory, 4th Sinjavino Offensive is a World War II operational-level wargame for 1–3 players, played across 10 daily turns in January 1943 and taking about 480 minutes.
Set on the Russian Front, the game focuses on the Soviet attempt to close the bottleneck between the Volkhov Front and the Leningrad Front. After repeated attacks against German positions around Ladoga, Soviet forces launch a determined assault to relieve Leningrad, which has endured a siege lasting more than 900 days.
Although the Soviet side outnumbers the Germans, victory is far from guaranteed. The German player faces multiple fires to put out and comrades in arms to save, creating a tense operational challenge for both sides. Iskra covers the campaign from January 12, 1943, with each turn representing one day of operations.
