Istanbul: Caravan Leader Mini Expansion

About this expansion

Istanbul: Caravan Leader Mini Expansion is a 2016 mini expansion for 2–5 players with a 60-minute play time. It adds a black camel meeple and a new role that can change hands during the game.

At the beginning of the game, place the black camel at the Caravansery (6). It has no owner at this point. When you execute the action in the Caravansery, take the camel at the end of your turn and place it in front of you; you then become the Caravan Leader.

You remain the Caravan Leader until another player executes the action in the Caravansery. This creates a clearly defined way for the role to pass from one player to another as players visit the location.

• The black camel starts at the Caravansery (6).
• The player who executes the Caravansery action takes the camel at the end of their turn.
• The camel’s owner is known as the Caravan Leader.
• The current Caravan Leader receives a special bonus when executing the Caravansery action.

If you are already the Caravan Leader before executing the action in the Caravansery, you receive the Caravan Leader bonus. After taking 2 bonus cards, you do not discard any cards from your hand.

Istanbul: Caravan Leader Mini Expansion adds a simple ownership rule and a specific reward for reclaiming the Caravan Leader role. The black camel provides a visible way to identify the current role holder throughout the game.
