About this board game
It’s a Bomb! is an asymmetric cooperative logic and deduction game for 2 to 5 players, with games lasting around 30 minutes. Together, your team must analyze a bomb’s circuit and determine how it works so you can deactivate it.
The bomb’s scheme is arranged as a grid, giving the game a system reminiscent of Mastermind or Wordle while adding the challenge of reading information across both rows and columns. To succeed, players must reason carefully from the clues they obtain and identify which cables should be cut.
While the intervention team examines the bomb, the chief of operations provides support from the command center. This role can make use of various experts, including the corporation’s consultants and their unique abilities. Combining the available information with these skills is essential to understanding the circuit.
- Asymmetric cooperation: players contribute through different roles and sources of information.
- Grid-based deduction: cross clues from rows and columns to interpret the bomb’s scheme.
- Expert support: use consultants’ unique abilities to assist the operation.
- Replayable scenarios: play through scenarios of increasing difficulty, each with its own special rules.
Every scenario can be replayed many times, creating a new challenge as your team works to understand the available clues and make the correct decisions. The increasing difficulty and scenario rules provide a range of deduction experiences for groups looking to test their collaborative reasoning.
With its combination of shared analysis, asymmetric support, and logical grid solving, It’s a Bomb! turns cable cutting into a focused cooperative puzzle for teams prepared to think across every part of the circuit.
