About this board game

Jericho is a board game for 3–5 players, played in about 15 minutes, in which players build colored walls and compete to collect the most cards.

Each player develops walls in different colors by playing wall cards. The goal is to create the longest walls, but those walls may not remain intact for the entire game.

Trumpet cards let players remove pieces from the walls. This provides a way to alter the developing structures before scoring, as players work to establish the longest wall in each color.

  • Build walls by playing wall cards.
  • Use trumpet cards to remove pieces from the walls.
  • Compete for the longest wall in each color.
  • Collect cards from the supply during scoring.

During scoring, the players with the longest wall in a color are rewarded with cards from the supply. The cards that enter the supply are decided by the players themselves, making the supply part of the game’s scoring system.

At the end of the game, the player with the most cards wins. With its focus on colored wall building, removable wall pieces, and a player-determined supply, Jericho offers a compact contest that can be completed in around a quarter of an hour.

Released in 2006, Jericho combines straightforward card play with competition over wall length. Every card gained contributes toward the final result, so scoring rewards the player who finishes with the strongest collection.
