About this board game
Kaiju Incorporated is a card-drafting economic game for 3–5 players that takes about 60 minutes. As company chairmen in a city threatened by giant Kaiju, players transform destruction and rebuilding into opportunities for profit, research, and victory points.
Each turn, players draft a building card. They can pay to add the building to their tableau, expanding their company, or discard it to generate income for themselves and the other players. This choice creates a constant tension between developing your own business and fueling the economy around you.
Buildings also generate research, which enables players to draft new product cards. These products are connected to the war on Kaiju and score victory points according to the buildings in a player’s tableau. From rebuilding the city to cornering the market on Kaiju skin handbags, every decision can help shape your company’s prosperity.
- Draft building cards and decide whether to construct them or convert them into income.
- Generate research through your buildings to access product cards.
- Score victory points with products that match your company’s buildings.
- Manage risk, since generating income can provoke Kaiju attacks.
The monsters are never far away. Income generation can cause a Kaiju to attack, potentially destroying buildings or creating other kinds of mischief. A successful company must therefore balance growth and danger while adapting to the latest wave of destruction.
With its blend of tableau building, economic decisions, research, and sudden monster trouble, Kaiju Incorporated challenges players to find prosperity amid the rubble. Build wisely, develop the right products, and pursue domination before the Kaiju strike again.
