Kamigami Battles: River of Souls

Kamigami Battles: River of Souls is a standalone game for 2–6 players, with play time of about 45 minutes. Released in 2018, it is the first set for Kamigami Battles: Battle of the Nine Realms.

Take the role of a great God, or join forces as a team of Gods, while defending your reign from rival Gods. In this set, each player chooses a God from Egyptian or Babylonian mythology and uses that God to take control of the cosmos.

Your chosen God is supported by warriors and disciples loyal to you. In games with 2–6 players, victory comes in one of two ways: reduce all opposing Gods to 0 energy, or reach 25 energy.

• Individual victory: Eliminate every rival God or reach 25 energy.
• Team matches: Play with 4 or 6 players in pairs, using one Main God and one Support God per team.
• Team victory: Eliminate the opposing team’s Main God.

River of Souls also introduces six temple cards, representing the Gods’ places of worship. Through a High Priest, a temple provides its God with Energy when it is needed.

Temples can be attacked instead of an opponent’s God, and their Energy is reduced as in a normal attack. When a temple reaches 0 Energy, it is destroyed and turned face down, adding another important target to the struggle for control of the cosmos.
