About this board game

Kampen om Norge is a strategy war game for 2–3 players, playable in approximately 2–3 hours, about the German invasion of Norway in 1940. Each player commands the armed forces of Norway, the Allies, or Germany in a battle for control of six victory cities.

The game combines plastic soldier pieces, dice, and cards representing warships, bombers, fighters, and special actions. Players move their battalions across a detailed map, fight for territory, and manage the resources provided by their cards. Choosing when and how to use these resources is central to building an effective strategy.

The starting situation and available resources reflect the historical conditions of the campaign, but the outcome is not predetermined. Norway and the Allies must work together to resist Germany’s advance, while Germany seeks to occupy the important cities and bring Norway under its control. Players can change the course of history through their decisions—and with a little help from the dice.

  • Three factions: Play as Norway, the Allies, or Germany.
  • Card-driven resources: Use military units, aircraft, warships, and special actions.
  • Strategic movement and combat: Reposition battalions and contest territory across the board.
  • Two difficulty levels: Adjust the challenge to suit your group.

Designed for a quick setup and fast-paced play, Kampen om Norge offers a broad range of strategic options and variations. It can be played by individuals or teams, making it a flexible way to explore this pivotal campaign while competing to shape its final outcome.
