About this board game

KAPOW! Volume 2 is a customizable dice game for 1–4 players, with play lasting about 60 minutes. In this head-to-head clash of superheroes and supervillains, you build a dice pool, develop special abilities, and use your rolls to unleash powerful attacks.

Choose whether to play as a hero or villain, with your choice determining your starting trait dice and unique abilities. During each turn, roll your dice behind a player screen and allocate the results between attack, defense, and power-up abilities.

The game’s blank action dice can gain removable faces that you customize to suit your character. As you acquire additional action dice and shape their faces, you can develop your dice pool to support your preferred approach. Deciding how to improve your dice, customize your abilities, and use each roll creates a strategic showdown with plenty of meaningful choices.

KAPOW! Volume 2 features six supers divided between heroes and villains:

• Heroes: Mindset, Spore, and Crescendo
• Villains: Fuse, 235, and Reverb

Each character offers a different role and starting point, while the buildable dice system lets you shape new possibilities during the game. The result is an explosive battle in which your growing collection of customized dice helps determine how your superpowers take shape.

This 2023 release can be combined with KAPOW! Volume 1 to mix and match characters or support games with up to four players. Whether you choose the side of good or evil, KAPOW! Volume 2 puts the power of customization at the center of every roll.
