Karak: Regent

About this expansion

Karak: Regent is an expansion for 2–5 players with an approximate play time of 60 minutes, released in 2019. It requires the basic Karak game to play and adds new content to the adventure.

Long before the dragon arrived, Karak was ruled by a powerful and cruel lord. Brave heroes could stop him, but they could not destroy him. Now the fallen ruler is returning to restore his ancient power, creating a new threat—and a new choice—for the heroes.

The expansion introduces four new heroes along with many other components. These additions bring fresh possibilities to games of Karak while expanding the world and its cast of playable characters.

In the standout Lord of Karak mode, one player takes on the role of the fallen ruler. Instead of joining the heroes, this player attempts to restore the lord’s ancient power.

The remaining players must decide how to face the returning ruler: will they stop him, or help him? This central conflict gives Karak: Regent a distinctive new way to experience the base game, while keeping the struggle between the heroes and Karak’s former lord at its heart.
