About this board game

Karakum is an open-drafting card game for 2–4 players that takes about 15 minutes to play. Players gather resources and acquire camels for their caravans in a contest shaped by a simple but crucial matching rule.

During the game, players choose from openly available cards as they work toward building their caravans. Resources help drive each player’s progress, while camels form the central collection challenge. The open-drafting format keeps the available choices visible as players decide what to take.

There is a catch: you may add a camel to your caravan only when it matches the number or color of your last camel. Every new addition must therefore connect to the camel already at the end of your caravan. This requirement gives each choice a clear condition and makes the order of your camel cards important.
