About this board game

Kreus is a cooperative deduction game for 3–6 players that takes about 30 minutes, as Titans work together to create an ideal, livable planet.

Building this world requires more than simply playing cards. Players must think together, communicate subtly, trust one another, and sometimes understand each other by instinct. Cooperation and deduction are central as the group attempts to master nature and the elements while facing the anger of their father, Ouranos.

The planet is created through a series of developments, including a rainbow, a river, and fish. These creations are completed with element cards representing earth, air, fire, and water. The shared goal is to complete the planet and bring it to life.

Each turn is divided into two distinct phases:

  • Divination: Every player secretly chooses a card from their hand and spends energy tokens to provide information, exchange cards, and carry out other forms of interaction.
  • Creation: Players reveal their chosen cards in turn order and check whether each card can contribute to the planet.

The tension comes from limited information and the need to coordinate without simply laying out every intention. The group must interpret the signals provided during divination and decide how best to combine its cards during creation.

Kreus ends when all the cards have been played or when the planet is completed. With its shared objective, secret choices, energy-token decisions, and intuitive communication, it offers a focused cooperative challenge about creating a world together.
