About this board game
Kurrüf is a family board game for 2–5 players, played in about 60 minutes, that celebrates the biodiversity of Patagonia’s Huilo-Huilo Park. Players race to reach 50 points while exploring four distinct ecosystems shown on their player boards.
On each turn, roll the die and move your Explorer along a marked track in one of the ecosystems, advancing the number of spaces indicated. Different spaces feature different symbols, and landing on one immediately lets you take the corresponding card. If another player later reaches the same space, the players share it.
The main focus is collecting and combining Biodiversity Cards, each depicting an organism. Place acquired cards face up in rows and connect them through their relationships within the ecosystems to create food chains. Whenever a row becomes a complete food chain, score it and discard all cards used to build it.
- Explore four ecosystem quadrants with marked tracks and symbol spaces.
- Collect organism cards and arrange them into visible rows.
- Build and score complete food chains.
- Use Mapuche tips and compete for majorities among the different kinds of cards acquired.
- Race along the point track toward 50 points.
Points can also come from possessing majorities in the different types of Biodiversity Cards you acquire. The game combines movement, collection, set combination, and competition for scoring opportunities in a straightforward, dynamic format.
After a player resolves all actions, play passes clockwise. In Kurrüf, the first player to reach 50 points wins the race through the Patagonian jungle.
