La Bataille d’Albuera: Espagnol is a detailed two-player or solitaire simulation of the hard-fought Battle of Albuera, with an approximately 1,800-minute playing time. Set during the Peninsular War, it places Imperial French battalions against a desperate coalition of Spanish, Portuguese, and British troops.

The battle’s outcome could lift the siege of Badajoz and affect the fate of western Spain, while also challenging the reputation of the Empire. Players face the same tactical dilemmas as their historical counterparts, with success depending on their own skill rather than a fixed play balance.

Played on a 34” × 22” period map, the game uses more than 400 multicolored, die-cut counters to represent the forces involved. Infantry appears in regimental or battalion organization, cavalry by regiment and/or squadron, and artillery by battery or section. Important personalities are included alongside distinctions between line and light infantry, cavalry, grenadiers, and other elite forces.

• Time: each game turn represents 20 minutes.
• Strength: approximately 50–100 men per strength point, at regimental or brigade size.
