About this expansion

Last Aurora: Frozen Steel is the second expansion for Last Aurora, supporting 1–4 players and games of about 90 minutes.

Frozen Steel introduces five independent modules that can be used together. Each module adds a different way to develop the experience, from new crew abilities and difficult enemies to player-versus-player conflict and narrative decisions.

• Starting crew: Four crew members with asymmetrical abilities.
• Enemies: A set of powerful foes that are hard to kill.
• Exploration cards: New vehicles, trailers, devices, survivors, events, encounters, and objects with new powers and abilities.
• Player versus player: A set that allows players to fight other Convoys.
• Story cards: A narrative deck featuring hard decisions, missions, and more.

The independent modules make Frozen Steel a flexible addition to Last Aurora. Use the new starting crew for asymmetrical abilities, introduce dangerous enemies, expand exploration with new card types, or bring direct conflict between Convoys to the table.

The story deck adds a narrative part during the game, asking players to face difficult decisions and resolve missions. This gives Last Aurora: Frozen Steel another way to shape the experience while remaining compatible with the other modules.

With its mix of new content, powerful enemies, Convoy battles, and story elements, Frozen Steel broadens the possibilities of Last Aurora. The expansion received the 2023 Seal of Excellence by Dice Tower.
