About this board game

Lost Legacy: The Starship is a fast card game of risk, deduction, and luck for 2–4 players, with a typical play time of 10 minutes.

At the start of the game, each player receives one card from a 16-card deck. One card is also placed in the Ruins, a location that may gain additional cards during play. The key question is where the Lost Legacy card is hidden: in a player’s hand or among the cards in the Ruins.

Each turn follows a simple sequence. Draw the top card from the deck, then choose one of the two cards in your hand to play face up. Resolve that card’s effect before it is considered discarded. These decisions can reveal information, alter the available clues, and shape the final investigation.

  1. Draw: Add the top card of the deck to your hand.
  2. Play: Choose one of your two cards and place it face up.
  3. Effect: Carry out the played card’s effect.
  4. Investigate: When the deck is empty, guess who holds the Lost Legacy card—or whether it is in the Ruins.

When the deck runs out, players take turns making guesses according to the investigation speed shown on the card in their hand. A correct guess wins the game. If nobody identifies the Lost Legacy, everybody loses, creating a sharp finish in which every clue and risk matters.

Lost Legacy: The Starship is the English release of the 16-card The Starship set. It supports 2–4 players on its own, while combining different Lost Legacy sets can allow up to six players to compete, provided only one Lost Legacy card is used. The Flying Garden set is released separately.
