About this board game

Lost Lumina is a two-player area-control card game that plays in about 25 minutes, as rival parties battle for control of the Regions of Amanaar.

Each player begins by drafting 10 cards from a selection of 27 beautifully and individually illustrated character cards. These diverse animalistic characters form your party and provide the tools you need to move across the map, reinforce your forces, and challenge your opponent.

On your turn, play one card from your hand and take a number of actions equal to its action point value. Use those actions to add new followers to your party or move followers between Areas. When both parties enter the same Area, a battle begins.

  • Draft your party from 27 illustrated character cards.
  • Spend action points to recruit followers and move across the map.
  • Choose battle leaders secretly and use their special abilities.
  • Control Areas to build the highest final score.

Combat combines the strength of the battling parties with the special abilities of the secretly chosen leaders. After these abilities are resolved, the combined battle strength determines the result. The losing party is removed from the contested Area, while the winner becomes the dominant force there.

The game ends immediately when one player has no party members left on the map or when both players run out of cards. Players then score each Area, and the player with the higher total wins. With its compact play time, tactical card play, and shifting territorial battles, Lost Lumina challenges you to decide when to advance, reinforce, or risk everything in a contested Area.
