About this board game

Lost Treasure is an electronic deep-sea diving game for 2–4 players, with a playing time of about 60 minutes. Released in 1982, it challenges players to locate underwater treasure, bring it safely to port, and earn $1,000,000 before their opponents.

Each player commands a diver’s boat on an ocean map featuring islands, ports, and 64 treasure locations. Gold and silver buoys help point the way: move them according to the direction indicator to get closer to an exact location. When you are ready, roll the dice to move into a treasure location and begin the search.

The Electronic Dive Control Center leads you to the treasure and simulates the dive itself. Listen as your diver descends deeper into the ocean, searching the bottom for a silver or gold treasure chest. Finding treasure is only part of the challenge, because you must return to the surface before running out of air.

  • Explore an ocean board with islands, ports, and 64 treasure locations.
  • Use four gold buoys and four silver buoys with the direction indicator.
  • Find 16 treasure chests and sail to port to cash them in.
  • Roll two dice for movement into treasure locations and to pirate opponents.
  • Race toward the $1,000,000 winning total.

Once a chest is aboard, sailing to port can turn it into money—but rival players may pirate you along the way. With luck, skill, and a sense of adventure, Lost Treasure combines exploration, electronic sound and guidance, risky dives, and competition on the route to the richest haul.

The Electronic Dive Control Center requires one 9-volt battery, which is not included.
