About this board game
Lucca Città is a card game for 3–5 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Each player represents a Quarter and works to increase their family’s fame by constructing palaces, building walls, and holding parties in completed palaces.
The game uses a deck of 110 cards, including 96 Palace parts, 4 towers, 5 Coats of Arms, and 5 Quarters. On each turn, a player chooses a triplet of cards from the table and uses those cards to develop their buildings.
Resources and time are limited, so every choice matters. Careful planning is essential: building efficiently, completing palaces, and arranging plenty of parties can help your family rise above the competition, while ending the game with too many unfinished palaces can work against you.

Lucca Città was the winning design in the 2004/2005 edition of the Gioco Inedito – Best Unpublished Game contest, powered by Lucca Comics & Games and dV Giochi. Its theme was “Cities and Walls,” providing the setting for a focused game of construction, timing, and family fame.
Choose your cards carefully, complete your palaces, and give the most successful parties to become the winner.
