About this board game
Luck of the Draw is a party drawing game for 4–8 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Designed for ages 10 and up, it challenges everyone to create quick sketches and compete for votes.
Each round, players pick a card and have 45 seconds to scribble a mini masterpiece. Artistic skill is not required: whether you think you are the next Picasso or cannot draw a stick figure, the game is built to make the creative process fun for everyone.
After the drawing time ends, players vote on which picture best fits one of more than 100 creative categories. The prompts can ask for a drawing that is the squiggliest, the ugliest, or the most likely to hang on a refrigerator. A picture does not need to be technically impressive to attract attention; it simply needs to match the category in an entertaining way.
- Draw a mini masterpiece in 45 seconds.
- Use imaginative categories to judge the pictures.
- Win votes by creating the drawing that best fits the prompt.
The player whose drawing receives the most votes earns the round’s success, and the competition continues as new cards and categories inspire more off-the-wall sketches. With its short drawing limit and playful voting, Luck of the Draw keeps every player involved, regardless of artistic ability.
Originally released in 2006, Luck of the Draw offers a lighthearted way to bring a group together around creativity, quick thinking, and unpredictable drawings. Gather 4–8 players, pick a card, and see whose picture has the luck to win the most votes.
