About this board game
Luminos is a tile-arranging game for 2–4 players, with plays lasting about 30 minutes. Build a beautiful starscape from suns, moons, and stars, then turn carefully formed constellations into points.
Each round, place one tile in your starscape. When you have created a square of four tiles, you can score that constellation. The scoring system rewards careful observation: you earn points only for the rarest symbol within the four-tile square.
Because every constellation is shaped by the symbols in its tiles, placement matters throughout the game. Aim to distribute suns, moons, and stars as equally as possible while creating squares that give you valuable scoring opportunities.
- Place one tile in your starscape each round.
- Score a constellation when you form a square of four tiles.
- Earn points based on the rarest symbol in that constellation.
- Work toward complete sets of suns, moons, and stars on your score sheet.
At the end of the game, your score sheet provides one final test of balance. Only complete sets containing a sun, moon, and star will count, making symbol distribution important from the first tile to the last.
With its blend of spatial arrangement, constellation scoring, and set completion, Luminos invites players to think about both immediate opportunities and the shape of their final score. Create a balanced starscape and make every symbol contribute to your celestial design.
