About this board game
LUNA Capital is a tile-and-card city-building game for 1–4 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes. Set in 1977, it imagines the moment when maintaining human life on the Moon becomes reality and lunar cities begin to take shape.
Players represent enterprising companies sponsoring teams of scientists, builders, publicists, and nightlife entertainers. Each turn, players draw construction cards and the project tiles associated with them from a common market, then add them to their personal playing area.
Careful layout is essential. Construction cards must be arranged in a maximum of three lines and placed in ascending numerical order. After positioning a card, players place its tiles onto the spaces provided, aiming to group projects as efficiently as possible.
- Oxygen collectors to support lunar living
- Greenhouses for the developing settlement
- Residential complexes for the colony’s inhabitants
- Sales offices for selling apartments with exceptional views
Each project category scores according to how it is arranged within a player’s personal area. The challenge lies in managing the available cards and tiles while building a settlement worthy of becoming the capital of the Moon.
In LUNA Capital, efficient placement and thoughtful organization determine which project stands above the rest. The player who makes the best use of their arrangement becomes the mayor of the lunar colony.
