About this expansion

Minivilles: 5-6 Extension is an expansion for Machi Koro that supports 2–6 players and offers games lasting around 30 minutes.

Designed to expand the player count to six, this extension introduces recommended rules for handling income from the different card colors. These rules change when certain cards provide money, helping define how the expanded game operates.

• Green cards: Nothing changes.
• Blue cards: Receive money from the bank only during your turn and the turns of your two neighbors.
• Red cards: Receive money only during your two neighbors’ turns.
• Purple cards: Nothing changes.

The recommended setup also encourages using the Marina card setup and selecting 12 card piles instead of the usual 10. This gives the larger player group a broader selection of cards while following the expansion’s suggested structure.

Minivilles: 5-6 Extension includes MGA Game Center, also identified as the Gaming Mega Store, along with Fabrique de jouets du Père Noël, or Santa’s Toy Factory. These included cards add to the available content for Machi Koro sessions with a larger group.

Released in 2015, this extension is a focused way to bring Machi Koro’s city-building experience to up to six players. With its color-specific income rules, recommended Marina setup, and expanded 12-pile card selection, it provides a clear framework for larger games.
