About this board game
Magecraft is a bag-building game for 2–4 players with a 60-minute play time.
In Offland, hundreds of races live together, but keeping the peace is no easy task. Every ten years, each race sends its best mage to the ruins to compete in Magecraft. Only the winner receives the magic gems, and that mage’s race dominates the land for the next decade.
As a player, you take on the role of one of these competing mages. Learn spells, build a mana pool, and collect mana gems as the contest unfolds. Your progress is tracked in your score area, where every gem brings you closer to victory.
- Bag-building gameplay for 2–4 players
- Spell learning and mana-pool development
- Mana-gem collection and score-area progression
- A clear victory goal: be first to collect 20 mana gems
The competition ends as soon as one player collects twenty mana gems in their score area. That player wins, claiming the prize and determining which race will dominate Offland for the next ten years.
Magecraft supports two players in a single copy. Playing with three or four players requires an additional copy of the game, making the contest larger while preserving its central race to twenty gems.
Released in 2016, Magecraft combines a fantastical contest between rival races with its focused bag-building system. Learn the spells, grow your mana, and see who rises when the competition begins again.
