About this board game

Magnifico is a risk-like conquest game for 3–5 players, with a playing time of about 90 minutes, set in early 16th-century Europe.

Players have both military and financial resources at their disposal as they pursue conquest. The game also introduces the extraordinary inventions of Leonardo da Vinci, bringing his imaginative designs to the battlefield.

The game includes a set of plastic figurines representing important elements of play:

• Infantry units for military forces
• Castles with towers that can be added
• War machines, including the Aero and Carro

The Aero is presented as an ancestor of the aircraft, while the Carro prefigures the modern tank. Other Leonardo-inspired inventions appear on cards and improve the various elements used in combat.

Combat is resolved with special dice, adding a distinctive method for determining the results of clashes. Alongside military and financial resources, players can use the inventions and components supplied by the game to support their efforts.
