Mamma Mia: Double Ingredients

About this expansion

Mamma Mia: Double Ingredients is a promotional expansion for Mamma Mia for 2–5 players, with a playing time of about 30 minutes.

This expansion adds 10 double ingredient cards to the game: two cards for each of the five ingredients. During setup, these cards are substituted into the deck in place of two ingredients of each type.

For gameplay, a double ingredient is handled exactly like a single ingredient card, but it counts as two ingredients of that kind. This changes how ingredient cards can be used when players work to complete orders.

• Includes a rule for prioritizing double ingredients on display

When an ingredient is needed to complete an order, any matching double ingredients on display must be used first. If that means more ingredients are supplied than the order requires, the player must overpay.

The same overpayment rule applies when a player uses a double ingredient from their hand to complete an order. Mamma Mia: Double Ingredients keeps the familiar ingredient handling of the original game while adding a specific rule for these higher-value cards.

The expansion was released in 2012 and was also included with Spielbox Magazine #2/2015.
