About this expansion

Marrying Mr. Darcy: the Emma Expansion is a strategy card game for 2–6 players, designed for a playing time of about 60 minutes and released in 2016. Inspired by Jane Austen’s Emma, it invites players to take on new heroines navigating events, character improvement, and the pursuit of a suitable match.

Players work to earn points and attract the attention of available suitors. Each heroine aims to marry well and finish as the most satisfied character, while clever tactics can provide an advantage over the competition.

The expansion introduces a fresh set of Emma-themed cards that replace the corresponding Heroine, Suitor, and Event cards from the original game. This creates a new variation of play while preserving the central strategy of attending events, developing characters, and seeking romance.
