About this board game

Mars Attacks: The Dice Game is a fast dice game for 3–6 players that takes about 20 minutes to play. Competing Martian players race to subjugate U.S. cities and decimate the largest portion of Earth.

At the beginning, four stacks of city cards are dealt randomly, with each stack containing as many cards as there are players. On your turn, declare the city you want to attack, then roll all ten dice. Your results determine whether you can claim the target—or whether you should risk another roll.

Nuke symbols are locked as soon as they appear and cannot be rerolled. Laser guns are locked too, leaving you able to reroll only the alien heads. If a reroll ever produces as many nuke symbols as the number shown on the face-up cards and the supplementary token, your turn ends.

You may stop rolling at any time. If you do not have enough guns or alien heads to claim your target, mark your current total with one of your tokens. On a future turn, you can add to that total, provided another player has not claimed the card first.

  • City powers: Seattle lets you place one die on the symbol of your choice before rolling.
  • Risky rewards: Las Vegas encourages you to go bust multiple times to claim the card.
  • Race for control: The winner is the player who decimates the largest portion of Earth.

With its locked dice, escalating totals, special city abilities, and tense decisions about when to stop, Mars Attacks: The Dice Game turns a Martian invasion into a compact contest of timing and daring. Ak ak ak ak ak!
