Marvel Fluxx

About this board game

Marvel Fluxx is a card game for 2–6 players that plays in about 30 minutes. It combines the ever-changing rules of Fluxx with characters and events from the Marvel Universe.

In Fluxx, the cards determine the current rules of the game. At the beginning, each player holds three cards. On a turn, the active player draws one card and then plays one card, but the rules can change as new cards enter play.

Playing cards can alter several important parts of the game, including:

• How many cards players draw
• How many cards players play
• How many cards players may hold in hand
• How many cards players may keep on the table
• How players can win

Because the rules are shaped by the cards, the way a turn works can shift during the game. A new rule may affect drawing, playing, hand limits, table limits, or—most importantly—the condition required to win.

Marvel Fluxx brings this flexible card-game structure together with Marvel-themed content. Players use the changing rules while encountering characters and events from the Marvel Universe, creating a game where the current cards define what happens next.

The 2019 game supports 2–6 players and has an approximately 30-minute play time. The Looney Labs edition includes seven additional cards and a collector’s coin used in gameplay. These extras are not included in the Cardinal Games edition, though Looney Labs sells the cards separately.
