Master Builder is a board game for 2–4 players that takes about 60 minutes, casting everyone as builders in a small town represented by 3D cardboard buildings.

The game revolves around acquiring building contracts through bidding. Once a contract is secured, the work begins: players must construct the associated building by using workers with the specialties required for the job.

Building a workforce is an important part of the experience. At first, players hire workers to help complete their buildings, but those workers are not necessarily permanent. Later in the game, they may leave—sometimes because another player has lured them away.
