About this expansion

Maximum Apocalypse: Kaiju Rising is an expansion for 1–6 players with an approximately 60-minute play time, adding new survivors, abilities, equipment, missions, and challenges to a world overrun by colossal beasts.

When monolithic kaiju rose from the oceans, the military fought back at enormous cost. Yet every victory brought only more creatures from the depths. Now the beasts roam the landscape as an ever-present threat, while the last survivors search the ruins of a crumbled civilization for whatever remains.

This expansion introduces two new survivor characters, each with a unique survivor deck of abilities and equipment cards. The Scientist is clever and adaptable, offering a flexible approach to the dangers ahead. The Army Ranger is an excellent sniper and a powerful crowd-control character.

As you face the largest monsters seen thus far, every expedition takes place beneath the shadow of rising kaiju and a devastated world. The new apocalypse deck expands the threats and objectives encountered during play, while the two survivor decks provide distinct abilities and equipment for confronting them.

Released in 2018, Maximum Apocalypse: Kaiju Rising brings a new scale of danger to the struggle for survival. Choose your survivor, make use of their specialized deck, and confront the monstrous consequences of a world that now belongs to the kaiju.
