About this expansion

Memoir ’44: Disaster at Dieppe is a 2010 expansion for 2–8 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. It is the final installment in the first Battle Maps series, bringing two large-scale, ready-to-play Overlord scenarios and four Standard Scenarios to the table.

The expansion focuses on two very different World War II battles. Disaster at Dieppe highlights Operation Jubilee, the ill-fated raid on the German-occupied coastal town of Dieppe. The Capture of Tobruk features Rommel in June 1942, as he pushes his Afrika Korps after breaking through the British lines at Gazala in North Africa.

Designed to encourage team play, the Battle Maps can accommodate up to eight players. Each large map arrives ready to play, with terrain, obstacles, and unit positions pre-printed for quick setup. The two Overlord scenarios provide a large-scale format, while the included Standard Scenarios can be played on a regular Memoir ’44 board.

  • Two ready-to-play Overlord scenarios: Disaster at Dieppe and The Capture of Tobruk
  • Four Standard Scenarios: Raid on Barce, Rommel’s Right Hook, Panzers in the Atlas, and Le-Mesnil-Adelée
  • Six Willys jeep miniatures and six Sd.Kfz. 250 half-track miniatures
  • Detailed rules for long-range patrol cars and half-tracks

Raid on Barce and Rommel’s Right Hook feature the Willys jeeps as long-range patrol cars, while Panzers in the Atlas and Le-Mesnil-Adelée introduce the Sd.Kfz. 250 half-tracks. With pre-printed battlefields and a mix of Overlord and Standard formats, Memoir ’44: Disaster at Dieppe adds a focused set of battles and components for coordinated play.
