Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game: The Lord of the Rings – Battle of Pelennor Fields is a two-player miniatures game with an approximately 180-minute play time, recreating the epic struggle between the forces of Rohan, Gondor, and Mordor.

Choose your side and defend Minas Tirith with the forces of Good, or command the armies of Evil as they bring destruction to the kingdom of Gondor. The box includes 84 miniatures, featuring heroes, cavalry, spectral warriors, monsters, and heavily armoured infantry.

• Good: Théoden, King of Rohan, on foot and horseback; 12 Warriors of Rohan; 12 Riders of Rohan; and 20 Warriors of the Dead.
• Evil: the Witch-King of Angmar on Fell Beast, a Mordor Troll, and 36 Morannon Orcs.

The included 208-page hardback Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game Rules Manual covers Open, Narrative, and Matched Play. It explains movement, combat, siege engines, magical powers, and other essential rules, supported by annotated diagrams, photographs, and painted army examples.

A separate 16-page booklet provides the profiles and scenarios needed to play through the Battle of Pelennor Fields with the miniatures in this set. The four scenarios—Charge of the Rohirrim, Théoden’s Last Stand, The March of the Dead, and The Battle of Pelennor Fields—gradually add more models and increase the scale of the conflict.

Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game: The Lord of the Rings – Battle of Pelennor Fields also includes 12 six-sided dice, Rohan and Mordor range rulers, and a double-sided sheet of punch-out tokens for effects and statuses.
